Pro Record: 5-2

Tex has the support from the following sponsors: Born 2 Bang Athletics, Caged Wear, Toe 2 Toe, Brawl Nutrition, VPX, Fitness Depot of Douglasville, Steve Headden BJJ, Jimmy Long BJJ, Knuckle-Up of Douglasville and Arena Tavern.

This matchup has drawn media attention from TMZ, MMAJunkie.com and several other online blog sites like MMAFORREAL.com and NextMMAFighter.com.

With only 19 days till he fights in the Main Event at Wild Bill’s Fight Night in Duluth, Georgia, War Machine was detained in California.

In an excerpt from an article on GeorgiaFighters.com, David Oblas co-promoter of the Wild Bill’s fight night said, “War Machine told me he’ll be back training tomorrow afternoon and will be fighting on Saturday, April 17 at Wild Bill’s vs Tex Johnson.”

Sponsored Fan and Knuckle-Up Fitness Fighter Aaron “Tex” Johnson had this to say on Facebook when he found out about War Machine’s most recent run-in with the law:

I have a lote on my mind, like how someone that has a fight in 2.5  weeks goes out of his way to get arrested. I  am not drinking,  I am dieting and training my ass off. I hope he gets out. This is so disrepectful. I may not be anybody,  I may even be a bad fighter,  but I give it my all and I am not in jail.

Byron used his skills in BJJ and wrestling to elevate his record to 4-1. Byron was working his rubber card when the opportunity presented itself to lock Jaral Bowman down and secure a triangle choke about half-way through the first round.
