After a 7 month lay-off Tim Stout entered the cage on Friday night at the World Congress Center ready for battle against Terry “T-Rex” Cohens out of Jacksonville, Florida.
The match quickly went to the ground after a couple of combinations thrown by both fighters where Terry Cohens quickly went for a submission attempt with a guillotine choke.
After escaping the choke Tim quickly transitioned to mount where he was able to land several punches to Terry’s head.
With a beautiful transition to Terry’s back when Terry worked for a sweep Tim finished the fight with a rear naked choke.
In a post fight interview, Tim Stout had the following to say:
“When I was in mount I must have hit him 10-15 times and was landing really hard shots. Any other man would have been knocked out. Terry is a real competitor and tough dude.”
Tim turned to his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach Roberto Traven and laughed as he said, “I finally finished one with a submission, how bout that!”
Just moments after his victory Tim signed his contract to compete on October 23rd at the Klash of the Kings @ Cowboys where he will take on Roger Carrol out of North Carolina.
Tim improves to 12-7 as a professional MMA competitor and will continue his career at the middleweight weight class.

Way to go Tim!
